Bekmar Kennels was established in 1988 with the purchase of CH Friesland Fiery Sky (sam) in the country town of Bathurst in NSW.This Foundation bitch was the begining over a decade of showing and breeding of loyal companions for the people of NSW. Our kennels have become a strong patron for the promotion of Bull Terriers through affiliation with the Bull Terrier Club of NSW, and campaigning the Quality and loyalty of the breed in the show ring, as well as breeding many champions,companions, obedience trial and loving dogs.Alsowe were the first ever to breed a Grand Champion Bull terrier in NSW, GR CH Bekmar Billy Idol also holding the title of ROM. who is a great grandson of sam.At present Sam's great great grandchildren are about to make there debut in the show ring. I myself have over the years held many official positions in Kennel Clubs, including Vice President of the Bathurst and District Kennel Club and Treasurer of the Bull Terrier Club of NSW.I also hold a Stewards License and am a junior handler judge.I also on numerous occasions have been a NSW Royal Canine Council Representative for both local and interstae dog shows.Currently my daughter and myself are enrolled in the members education scheme run by the Royal NSW Canine Council since moving to Sydney in 2002.
